care in your hand.
Calmware makes handheld tools that use touch and breath to help you slow down and support yourself. Each piece is a small reminder to pause and give yourself a little care.
it's not about erasing worry. it's about giving it somewhere to go.
what we believe.
- Self-care should be simple. It doesn't need a screen or a complicated routine.
- Touch can ground us. There is power and agency in our hands.
- The things we hold can shape how we feel.
- Small moments count.
touch first.
Most practices start with the breath or the mind. Ours starts with your hands. Find something to hold, notice how it feels in your hands, and start to sync your breath with your sense of touch.
finished by hand.
Calmware is made by our hands for your hands. Every piece is touched at least five times before it's finished and ready for you. Small variations are expected and make each piece of Calmware uniquely its own.
care, shared forward.
Calmware workshops span experiential self-care, hands-on making and touch-led guided meditation.
where it started.
Calmware began with our founder, Sam, who needed a way to discreetly remember and practice the grounding techniques she knew, but always forgot to use in the moments she needed them most. Her work is shaped by her own experience with anxiety and ADHD. Clay was already her way of slowing down, so she used it to make tools for the times she struggled most.
